Litmos Pricing 2026
By Oliver Wakefield-Smith, Founder, Digital Signet · Verified 9 September 2026
Litmos builds a full plan comparison grid, then leaves the price row empty three times. That absence is the finding.
What Litmos costs
| Item | What is published | Detail | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Foundation plan price | Contact for Pricing | Litmos's own wording in the price slot on its plans page. | litmos.com/plans |
| Platinum plan price | Contact for Pricing | Same wording, same page. | litmos.com/plans |
| Platinum AI plan price | Contact for Pricing | Same wording, same page. | litmos.com/plans |
| What separates the top plan | The AI feature set | AI Assistant, AI Content Authoring, AI Playlists, AI and ML video assessments and video tagging. | litmos.com/plans comparison grid |
| API ceiling used as a tier lever | Up to 100 requests per minute | A rate limit on the comparison grid, not a price. No overage rate is published for exceeding it. | litmos.com/plans comparison grid |
| Seat minimum, free tier, trial length, implementation fee | None published | Litmos publishes no figure for any of these. Every plan call to action routes to a demo rather than a checkout. | litmos.com/plans |
| Marketplace rate card | None found | AWS Marketplace and Azure Marketplace were both searched on 9 September 2026. No priced Litmos listing was found, so no marketplace figure is recorded. | Searched 9 September 2026, no listing found |
Verified against Litmos’s plans page on 9 September 2026. litmos.com/pricing returns HTTP 301 to litmos.com/plans. Figures seen on the default English site; no regional price variant exists to report, because no price exists to vary.
The plan ladder, described the only way it can be
Three plans, in order, with the top one separated by artificial intelligence features rather than by capacity. That is the whole publicly knowable shape of Litmos commercials, and it is worth knowing before a call because it tells you what the upsell conversation will be about.
The entry plan on the comparison grid.
The middle plan on the comparison grid.
The top plan. The AI and machine learning feature set is what separates it: AI Assistant, AI Content Authoring, AI Playlists, and AI or ML video assessments and tagging.
Plan names and the “Contact for Pricing” wording are Litmos’s own, from its plans page, retrieved 9 September 2026.
Note what the top-tier separator is. Litmos does not gate its top plan behind user volume or storage, it gates it behind AI Assistant, AI Content Authoring, AI Playlists and AI or ML video assessment and tagging. If your team authors little and consumes bought content, that gate sits on features you may never open. If your bottleneck is course production, it sits on the exact thing you would be buying the platform for. You cannot price that trade-off from public information, but you can decide which side of it you are on before Litmos frames it for you.
The one hard number on the grid is not a price at all: APIs at up to 100 requests per minute. It is on the feature comparison because ceilings like that get used as tier levers. No overage rate is published for breaching it.
There is no worked example on this page
Every other vendor page on this site ends its pricing section with a worked example, because a figure you can multiply is the point of publishing a price. This page has none. Litmos publishes no figure to multiply, so there is nothing to work through, and manufacturing an illustrative number here would quietly convert an absence into an anchor. The absence is the more useful fact.
This matters because of a pattern worth naming. When one real figure exists for one tier, it is tempting to scale it across the whole ladder and publish the resulting table. The table looks like research and reads like authority, and every row after the first is invented. Litmos does not even offer a first row, so a Litmos price table anywhere on the internet is manufactured from top to bottom.
Compare that with what a published price actually lets you do. On iSpring Learn or TalentLMS you can put your learner count against a published rate and have a budget line the same afternoon. With Litmos, the first real number arrives after a demo.
How to run the Litmos conversation
Opacity is not automatically a red flag, but it does move work onto you. Because Litmos publishes no unit, the first thing to settle is what you are being billed for: registered users or active users, monthly or annually, with or without a floor. A quote that arrives as a single annual number with no unit behind it is not comparable to anything, including next year’s renewal of itself.
Second, pin the plan. The feature grid puts the AI capability in the top plan, so confirm in writing which plan every feature in your requirement list actually belongs to. Third, ask for the term and the renewal uplift together, because an attractive first-year figure with an unbounded renewal is the most common shape of a bad LMS deal.
Then benchmark the whole programme rather than the licence. The platform fee is usually the smaller half of what training costs you, and our cost per employee trained calculator puts the licence next to the learner hours it consumes.
