Coursera for Business Pricing 2026
By Oliver Wakefield-Smith, Founder, Digital Signet · Verified 9 September 2026
There is no single Coursera Teams price. Coursera sets it by the country you browse from, and that is the most useful thing to know before you budget.
Most LMS pricing pages, including earlier versions on this site, treat a vendor’s Teams price as one number. For Coursera that is wrong, and the way it is wrong is the most interesting verified finding about Coursera’s commercial model. Coursera does not run a single global list price with regional currency conversions applied on top. It serves a price set for the country it thinks you are in, with the country code attached to the price object itself. Two people comparing quotes across offices in different countries are not comparing the same list price, and neither of them can see the other’s.

Source: Coursera for Business, Online Training for Teams and Compare Plans and Pricing, read 9 September 2026. The price row is the Australian list price as served on that date and is labelled as such throughout. It is not converted, and it is not presented as applying to any other market.
The geo-pricing finding, and what it means for a budget
Coursera’s price object carries a country code alongside the currency and the amount. The capture on 9 September 2026 returned a price country code of AU with a currency code of AUD and an amount of 566.00. That is not a currency display setting applied over a global list price. It is the price for that country, chosen by Coursera, and the identifier for which country it belongs to travels with it.
Three practical consequences follow, and they matter more than the number itself:
- A price quoted in a guide is a price for wherever the guide’s author was sitting. Including this one. That is why the geography and the date are attached to the figure above every time it appears.
- You cannot convert your way to your own price. Multiplying the AUD figure by an exchange rate produces a number Coursera has never charged anyone. This page does not do it and no reader should.
- Multinational buyers cannot compare offices from the outside. If you are pricing Coursera for teams in two countries, you have to look at Coursera’s page from each of them, or ask Coursera for both in writing.
Coursera derives the displayed price from the visitor’s IP address. Country and currency query-string overrides and country cookies were all tried on 9 September 2026 and all were ignored, and the plan comparison table renders its price cell client side, returning no figure to a fetcher. A US dollar figure could therefore not be read from the source. Under this site’s sourcing rules an unread figure is not published, so this page abstains rather than repeating one from a third party. Coursera’s own Teams page will show a US visitor the US price.
Worked example, on the verified Australian price
The one worked example on this page uses the only price that was verified, and it is therefore an Australian-market example. It is shown because the licence mechanics generalise even where the number does not.
Both inputs are Coursera published values: the AU-served list price and the published 25 percent nonprofit discount, which Coursera limits to new Teams subscribers, one redemption per organisation, and up to 125 licences. All arithmetic is shown. No exchange rate has been applied at any point.
Teams and Enterprise, and where the line sits
The 499-user boundary is the important structural fact. Coursera for Teams is for groups of up to 499 people and is self-serve, with the full course catalogue, customisation tools such as learning paths and translations, an interactive AI guide for learners, and tracking features. At 500 users the buyer moves to Enterprise, which Coursera says adds AI-assisted custom course building, dedicated customer success managers and enterprise-level integrations.
Coursera’s own comparison page shows a figure for Teams and, for Enterprise, the words tailored to your company with a contact sales call to action. There is no seat band, no floor and no starting rate for Enterprise, so this page does not extrapolate the Teams rate upward. That would be inventing the very number Coursera has chosen not to publish, and volume pricing on quoted tiers rarely tracks a linear extension of the self-serve rate.
The licence mechanics on Teams are worth reading before you size the purchase. Licences can be added at any time with prorated pricing, and up to 10 percent of licences can be reassigned per billing cycle. If your learner population turns over faster than that, the reassignment cap rather than the headline rate is what will decide your real cost per trained employee. Billing is annual, or quarterly under an annual commitment, and a 14-day refund window applies, with earned certificates revoked if a subscription is refunded.
How to price Coursera for your own market
- Read the price from Coursera’s Teams page yourself, from the country you will be buying from, and screenshot it with the date.
- Check whether a promotion is running. A 30 percent off promotion was live against the Teams list price at the time of this capture. A promotional price carried into a multi-year budget is a common budgeting error.
- Get every market in writing if you are multinational. You cannot see another country’s price from where you sit, and conversion is not a substitute.
- Size against the 499-user line. If you are near it, ask what the Enterprise quote looks like before you commit to Teams, because the pricing basis changes rather than merely scaling.
- Model the learner time, not just the licence. Use the cost per employee trained calculator; for self-paced content the participant hours usually dominate the licence fee.
